Meet DDZ Projects Founder and CEO

Dennis Scott FRAeS is the CEO of DDZ Projects. With over 44 years of aerospace expertise, Dennis Scott FRAeS has held senior roles at Airbus, Rolls Royce, and COMAC. As the former head of the Design Organization at PFW GmbH, Dennis led engineering teams across continents and held Airbus delegated design authority. He has played a crucial role in aircraft life cycles, from concept to certification, and founded DDZ Projects in 2020. Currently pursuing a LA Pilots licence, Dennis continues to shape the aerospace landscape, supporting organisations like Warrior (Aero-Marine).

About Us

DDZ Projects comprises of a highly experienced core team, supplemented by seasoned industry specialists and associated companies, applied as required for each project.


This flexible resource ensures that the most appropriate, experienced resources can be applied to a particular task or project, and enables a quick response and capacity ramp-up and later ramp-down as required.

 

DDZ Projects has developed a global network of the industry’s leading experts, project companies and resource providers, thus providing access to a large pool of skilled, experienced individuals and core expertise whilst delivering the most cost effective solution to our customers. Solutions using skilled individuals or large project teams can be provided.
 

Many tasks can be handled in-house, but for larger projects, DDZ Projects take the lead role in the co-ordination of our associate activities in whatever capacity needed by the client.
 

DDZ can also provide board advisors and Non-Executive Directors across a range of industry sectors, for all sizes of aerospace businesses.

DDZ Projects would typically work alongside the customer team to establish the real needs of the project, define the project requirements, and assist with the project definition and planning. For projects requiring external interfacing, DDZ Projects can create operational processes, statements of work, scope of supply, deliverables lists, and contract documents as required.


DDZ have first-hand experience in the concept design, development, rig, ground and flight testing, certification, and production/in-service support of all types of aircraft.


Fixed wing and rotary wing, both commercial and military applications, their qualification and certification can be supported.


All technical disciplines can be covered, including the latest composite structures (design and manufacture), and electric, and hybrid propulsion systems.

For project execution, a dedicated Project Management toolkit can be created for each project, applying classical techniques and proven tools incorporating industry best practice. DDZ Projects never apply exactly the same toolkit as experience has shown that customisation is required in each case.

DDZ specialise in trouble-shooting and recovery initiatives. By facilitating teams within the client, problem assessment, root cause analysis and recovery options are explored and defined.

DDZ have experience in providing extensive mentoring and training at all levels, from new graduates to company Presidents and CEOs. Hence, DDZ has a great deal of industry best practice (as opposed to textbook) training material available, with past examples supporting student understanding of the principles and application.


Regular “surgeries” can be arranged, essentially a set time each day or week where people could drop by to discuss topics of all types, from detailed technical issues, project/supplier management to career advice.
